This role involves developing and analyzing structural designs, ensuring compliance with US/NY building codes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results where expertise in designing with steel, concrete, and cold-formed steel is essential.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop structural designs for diverse projects involving steel, concrete, and cold-formed steel structures.
    • Conduct detailed structural analyses to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with project specifications.
    • Ensure all designs meet US/NY building codes and regulations.
    • Utilize ETABS for creating structural models, running simulations, and generating design outputs.
    • Analyze and interpret software results to refine and improve structural designs.
    • Prepare accurate engineering documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications, adhering to the imperial unit system.
    • Ensure deliverables meet regulatory requirements and project objectives.
    • Collaborate remotely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Investigate and resolve structural challenges related to materials, load capacities, and construction feasibility.
    • Review existing designs to ensure accuracy and suggest improvements or modifications.
    • Perform regular quality checks on designs and calculations to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust designs as needed to accommodate changing project requirements.

Requirements:
    • Degree in Structural Engineering (Civil Engineering with a focus on structures).
    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of US/NY building codes.
    • Proficiency in the imperial unit system.
    • Strong expertise in designing with steel, concrete, and cold-formed steel.
    • Proficient in ETABS for structural modeling and analysis.
    • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal (this is not a client-facing role).

Time Zone: Eastern Time
Schedule: 9 AM to 5 PM (Flexible)
*Open to both full-time and part-time candidates (minimum 20 hours per week); full-time is preferred.
